What/How Many Songs Chayanne Will Perform on "Gala" Sunday
Chayanne's management has just informed us that on the "Gala
de la
Hispanidad" television special Chayanne will perform two songs, "Salome"
and Enamorado". The program will air on Univision on Sunday night,
December 19 at 9:00 pm (Eastern and Pacific time zones).
His management is saying that they hope we enjoy it as much
as the people in Spain did!

Dance With Me Made It! (Somewhere You'll Never Guess!)
While out Christmas shopping, I wandered into the Film section
of a bookstore and picked up the "People (Magazine) Weekly Almanac
2000" and flipped through the year-end in review. It contained year-end
records for the year 1998 (most current now being reported).
Then my eyes drifted to the page "Top 100 Box Office Films of 1998"
and surveyed the list. You'll never guess! "Dance With Me" valiantly
clung to the #100 position! It had grossed $15,923,354 for year 1998.
I laughed out loud to think about all of us who were lucky enough to have
seen the movie on the BIG screen (by far the most exciting viewing!)had
pushed it over the top by our crazed multiple viewings!
I thought you'd get a kick out of this - congratulations, "Dance
With Me"!

Wish Chayanne A Merry Christmas
Today I am announcing that Chayfans.org is creating a Christmas
booklet with your Christmas wishes for Chayanne -- just as I had promised
you earlier in the year. In your message, you are wishing Chayanne a Merry
Christmas and a Happy New Year. You are not asking for signed photos,
or tour books, or tours (or rather telling him your wishes for yourself).
This booklet will be a Christmas greeting card for Chayanne.

All wishes must be received by December 17, 1999. (Any
wishes submitted after that date will not be included.)

The booklet will be sent to Chayanne before Christmas.

We just received a reply from Chayanne's manager who wants you to know
as to the Chayanne calendar on eBay that "no one has authorization
to use Chayanne's image" and "what this company is doing is
illegal."
Chayanne's manager has asked me to inform all Chayfans that this is an
"irresponsible" auction and that they are asking you NOT to
buy the calendar.

Dear All,
Here's a few words of THE GUY in Paris as promised (he's in the office
today and wanted to send you a few words) :
Hi ! Here I am finally ! Where ? In Paris, where I've a
wonderful time doing some promotion (2 TVs, a radio show and the Téléthon
in the South of France). We arrived on Wednesday and are leaving on Sunday
morning back to Miami and Porto Rico for rehearsals for my concert on
the 12th.
I thank you all for your big and nice support and hope continuing
to have it and satisfy you !

Daisy is a reporter in Argentina and interviewed Chayanne
yesterday.
News from Daisy's interview includes:

He denied that he'd bought a medieval castle in Spain.

He said that he is going to Puerto Rico for Christmas

January 2000.

News from Chayanne's Management
Dear Chayfans,
Chayanne's management has reported to us that Chayanne is
"becoming very popular" in France and the demand for him is
increasing. Initially, "Atado A Tu Amor" was #30 on the French
charts,
and today it has reached #16!
They are "very happy" with his success in France,
and have said they're sure that we "share the same satisfaction"
of knowing that the popularity of his music is expanding and that more
people are able to listen to his music.
We let them know that we are getting more French fans visiting
Melanie's website every day!

News from Tina at Sony Paris
Hello Girls !
Concerning the job here, Chayanne is coming back to me in
Paris on
December 1st until December 5th when he'll come back to Miami. He'll arrive
in the morning and we should and the rehearsals for the biggest prime
Tmie TV Show in France called "Les Années Tubes". Then we'll
do our first radio show in the evening with "Salomé" In half
playback. The day after we'll have the taping of the TV show. And, on
the 3rd , we'll take the plane with the dancers to the South of France,
in a town called Montpellier to do the French Téléthon. This will last
2 days and then, bye bye 'til Dec 15th for a big prime time TV show made
for the New Year's Day.
That's it for the moment. "Salomé" works well
here and thanks to the different venues Chayanne has made, he's
on TV in France at least once a week for various TV shows. We're also
preparing his first concert in France which should take place in the beginning
of next February (if everything's OK)

Exciting News for Chayfans.org
Dear Chayfans,
Lil, one of our fellow websiters, just informed us that
on the "Cristina" television show yesterday Cristina displayed
Melanie's website photo and the Chayfans.org website logo and showed the
web address! Lil said they showed the great photo that Melanie has been
using on the website. (Melanie says it will return soon!)
All this great exposure on national television for Chayfans.org,
plus "Dance With Me" recently having being shown on HBO AND
the fact that we must have handed out 500 more business cards and Miryam's
great flyers at Disneyland recently are all among the reasons our website
just keeps growing!
Just a note that it's no secret how Cristina knew about
us! Recently, Chayanne's management talked to them about us, and then
let us know about it. So our thanks go to Chayanne's management as well
as to Cristina!

Update from Chayanne's Management
Dear Chayfans -
Chayanne's management has informed us that Chayanne and
all his entourage were indeed in Turkey when the devastating earthquake
occurred, that they did feel the aftershocks and that they were "pretty
scared," but that they are all fine. They wanted to thank everyone
for their concern.
A little too close for comfort!
They've promised to fill us in on all of Chayanne's recent
activities in France, Turkey, Switzerland and Spain, and we'll pass it
along when it
comes in.

Dear Chayfans -
Just to confirm, yes, Chayanne WILL be performing (along with other Latin
artists) at the "Feliz Navideno" concert at Disneyland in Los
Angeles (Anaheim) on November 16. Other than that official confirmation
from his management, all else remains the same that we posted two weeks
ago:

This is a media-only event, except for fans who have
WON their ticket to this "mini-concert" from a California
"Radio Romantica" radio station near you. (These are Spanish-language
radio stations.)

It is NOT POSSIBLE to purchase tickets to this event
from anyone!

Check out the "Radio Romantica" radio stations
in your area, and follow the instructions for their "Feliz Navideno"
contest. I know for sure that there are "Radio Romantica"
stations in San Francisco, Los Angeles and Sacramento who are participating
in the contest, but if you live in other areas of California, you'll
need to check out your local areas yourself.

On "Despierta America" they mentioned that Chayanne
was nominated 4 times for the "Amigo" awards coming up in Spain.
The nominations were for the high CD sales, his great performances and
his high enthusiasm and energy. Also that he will conduct part of the

Attention California Fans
Dear California Chayfans -
We're writing to clarify what we in California have been hearing on the
radio - that Chayanne will be performing in a (mini)concert with other
performers at Radio Romantica's "Feliz Navideno" concert on
November 16 at Disneyland in Los Angeles. (Last year at this event, Chayanne
performed approximately six numbers during this same event.) Although
this information is indeed being broadcast at this time all over California
wherever there is a "Radio Romantica" radio station, according
to Chayanne's management earlier this morning, Chayanne's participation
in this event is STILL NOT CONFIRMED.
Unfortunately, fans are unable to purchase tickets to this
event, but instead must WIN them in a "Radio Romantica's"
contest for this event.
"Feliz Navideno" is a MEDIA-ONLY (promotional)
event that is attended by the Los Angeles media.
When we get further information, we will post it. In the
meantime, California fans, you'll want to tune into your local "Radio
Romantica" station to see if you can get lucky...just in case
Chayanne will be there!
P.S. - The "Radio Romantica" radio station in
the San Francisco Bay Area is 100.3 FM "Cien Punto Tres"

Chayanne - The New Latin Lover of Europe - Sony Music Latin

Latin:
Chayanne is the new Latin sensation in Europe. After taking
Spain by storm, the Puerto Rican singer and actor has entered the European
charts with his smashing hit 'Salomé'.
Chayanne has been touring Spain during the summer and he's now promoting
his album 'Atado A Tu Amor' all over Europe. He was the guest star in
many TV shows in Italy, France, Sweden and Germany. Chayanne has been
invited by the King of Spain to participate in the annual celebrations
for the Spanish National Festivities, and by the Nobel Prize Committee
in Sweden to perform during next years ceremonies of winners.
Europe is in love with Chayanne and they are calling him the quintessential
Latin lover, artist, and gentleman.

Mexican Earthquake - no harm to Chayanne
I just heard on the news that there was a 7.4 earthquake
in Mexico City this morning and just checked with Chayanne's management
to see if Chayanne and all in his entourage are OK.
Thank goodness, Chayanne himself was in an airplane when the earthquake
occurred. All who travel with him on the road and who were already in
Mexico City are unhurt!
We're so grateful - and send our best wishes to those who've apparently
suffered a massive earthquake.

Well, I have the answer. He will be at the UNICEF GALA in
Madrid that is promoted by the King and Queen of Spain. All the money
they get will be to all the children around the word that are helped by
UNICEF.

Good news for those who responded regarding Mexico/Aruba concert
We have just spoken with Chayanne's management who has told
us that those of you who responded affirmatively that you will be attending
a Chayanne concert in Mexico WILL be having a group photo made with Chayanne
at the Monterrey venue. Congratulations, you lucky fans!
As a delightful little touch to that good news, we could
hear the sounds of little Lorenzo Valentino chiming away in the background
as most 2-year olds are known to do. What a little doll - how fun to think
he hangs out at his Pappa's office sometimes!
In addition, Chayanne's management has informed us of a
new Chayanne concert:
They also confirmed that Chayanne WILL be continuing with
the concerts through the END of this year. Maybe some rest for our guy
NEXT year?

Regarding our updated website:
"CONGRATULATIONS ON YOUR EXPANDED WEBSITE, .....I gave Chayanne your
website address so he may look at it as well when he is (in) Miami."
Regarding our concern for his office and family during Hurricane Floyd:
"I want to thank you for your concern. And want to let you know that
everyone here is okay. Thank God, Floyd did not hit Miami. We did not
work on Tuesday 14th due to the warnings but as of yesterday everything
is back to normal. Thank you again for your concern."
Regarding Daisy's message to our website:
"Thank you for the email from Daisy. I am sure you are all concerned,
but as I told you before Chayanne is presently concentrated in his musical
career. He is now in Brazil doing promotion and after Brazil he has to
continue with the tour in Mexico."
"He does have many offers for movies, but for now he just doesn't

and about his new album, when he starts recording, etc."

- Chayanne will be shooting an electronic press kit in Venice, Italy,
and that they will send us information about it, as well as other
promotion to take place in Italy.
- They will furnish us with current articles and publications from Spain
that report on Chayanne's phenomenal success there.
- Regarding the magazine in Spain - "Vale" - who advertised
"Chayanne in the Nude" ("El Desnudo de Chayanne")
- The magazine's claim is false. Chayanne has not posed
nude.

Dear Chayfans -
We just spoke with Chayanne's management and they have confirmed the dates

They will indeed take place from September 21 through October 2, 1999.
At this time, they will confirm one venue for us: Chayanne will perform
at the Auditorium Nationale in Mexico City on October 1 and 2.
They have promised to supply us with the remaining venues when they are
finalized - which should be soon.

Sony Discos Free Giveaway Contest

Nine - 8 1/2 X 11 color photos of Chayanne
Notes: Several of these photos are VARIATIONS of the poses from
"Provocame" and a few from "Tiempo de Vals". They
are quite beautiful! One of these full size ones is the "Provocame"
pose of him shirtless standing at the window (exact pose from CD). There
is a gorgeous one of him in a tuxedo (wow!) doing the "Tiempo de
Vals" number. Another particularly beautiful one is of a youngish
Chayanne with wild, curly hair and a black tropical shirt, unbuttoned.
Also included in the tour book are lists of his movies, TV shows,
videos, commercials, recordings and awards, photos of him performing in
concerts, during promotional activities, hanging out with celebrities
and friends. Also included are pictures of his (then current) dancers
(not the 1999 current group).

Sony Discos to conduct promotion with our website
The news has been in the works for a while, but today we
can announce that Sony Discos, Chayanne's record label, is going to be
working with Melanie's website providing us with the "prizes"
for an upcoming Solamente Tu Amor Chayanne contest!
We will be announcing details of the contest in about a week, so keep
watching the Message Board to learn more. As a "teaser" of the
prizes, it just MIGHT include Chayanne pictures!
We are encouraged that Sony Discos is acknowledging the website fans in
this way!

Latest Information Regarding Chayanne's Next Movie
Knowing that we are all so anxious to get news on this subject,
today, Chayanne's management gave us an update on the status of Chayanne's
second American movie.
They said that because Chayanne currently has such a very hectic schedule
of concert tours and promotion, that it doesn't give him enough time to
do a new movie. They did say that he does have "many offers"
but that for now, a new movie is impossible.
They promised to update us when further and definite information is available.

Personal Thank You From Chayanne
Hang onto your hearts!
We just got word from Chayanne's management that while he was in his office
earlier this week before he went to Venezuela he looked at EACH AND EVERY
ONE of the birthday cards sent him, and that he wants to thank us all!
(Note:they didn't specifically mention Lissa's electronic card, but we
assume he meant that one, too!) Also, he spent some time looking over
Barbara S.'s "Concert Notebook" which represented our website
so beautifully, and he loved it! He said he was impressed to see how everyone
cooperated with pictures and information, and that it was good to remember
all those good times. He said to thank you all!
Nice to know Chayanne would take the time to acknowledge us in this way!

Miscellaneous Chayanne Update - From His Management
As a final note, Chayanne's management tells us that Chayanne
will be performing in Venezuela until August 4 and then will be going
to Italy for promotion only. They said that his recent European promotional
activities in Italy, Portugal and Spain have met with great success, and
that his song "Salome" is currently topping the charts in Europe.
Lastly, the final editing of the new "Atado A Tu Amor" video
is now completed, and the video (in its entirety) will be released soon.
They have said they will try to let us know where we will first be able
to view it, as they know we're interested!
