Official website and official information
I received a brief reply from Sony today informing us that Chayanne's
official website will be launched at the end of January 1999.

In the meantime, you can visit the Chayanne pages at his record label
at Sony Music Latin.
It contains news, tour dates, photos, and a screensaver.

Tour info still not available; official website still in the works
To update everyone, our website is keeping in close contact with Chayanne's
management and is passing along your requests and concerns to them, and
they in turn are keeping us informed of the latest developments. They
have just informed us of the following:
- Chayanne's 1999 Tour information will NOT be available until January
1999
- Sony is setting up the official Chayanne website, but Chayanne and
his management will be in charge of its content
- We should expect a substantial number of products for sale through
the official website - including the items (calendars, videos, photos,
posters and t-shirts) that we requested!
- The official website will have a schedule section which will detail
all of his upcoming television appearances/concerts, etc.
- Chayanne's Fan Club continues to be reorganized to accommodate its
increased size, and we can expect to hear from them in the New Year
- There is a possibility that Chayanne himself will sign on to the official
website in 1999

Official Chayanne website coming to a browser near you
We have just learned from Chayanne's management that they intend to begin
an official Chayanne website through which they will share much of the
information we have been seeking - tour dates, merchandising, etc. No
start date as yet, but it is definitely "in the works."
Also, just a little more info about what Chayanne will be up to the next
two months:
He's currently doing promotion only (no concerts). He's now in Columbia,
next Spain, then Brazil, then briefly to Los Angeles for the Disneyland
concert on December 7, then back to Brazil. On December 14 he'll be back
in Miami, then off to Puerto Rico for his Christmas Holiday. He won't
be returning to Miami until the 2nd week in January.

Chayanne to perform at Disneyland in Los Angeles on December 7th
We just got official word from Chayanne's management that he WILL perform
at Disneyland in Los Angeles (Anaheim) on December 7. This is a media
event wherein Chayanne, Shakira and Onda Vaselina will perform for the
media and a few selected fans who have WON their tickets through California
radio stations. (In other words, we can't buy tickets, we have to win
them in a radio station's contest.) In the Los Angeles area, listen to
KSSE-FM 97.5 to win tickets. In the San Francisco area, listen to "Radio
Romantica" FM 100.3. The sister (Radio Romantica) station in Sacramento
is also running the contest. Good luck to all of us Chayettes!

Information from the International Fan Club
We now have official word from Chayanne's International Fan Club that
they have been simply overwhelmed with the recent response for
new membership, and that is why we have not heard back from them as yet.
They are in the process of "reorganizing."
They want us to know that they have not forgotten us! Our website
has offered to help out!
